Re: Abolish ICE? Please don’t.

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency was established 15 years ago in response to the 9/11 attacks.

People want to abolish ICE because of Trump’s immigration policies.

Before the U.S. had a Department of Homeland Security (DHS), immigration was managed by the Department of Commerce first, and then the Department of Labor next.

“Fake Experts”? Quick Thoughts

I question some of the people who write self-help guidebooks or make tutorial videos online, especially the ones who portray themselves to be experts when they are either not “qualified”, have no related experiences, or are narcissistic parasites. It’s as if they’re seeking attention or validation for their efforts.

I came across a video series about entrepreneurship, and the guy behind the videos isn’t. really. an entrepreneur.

He’s an aspiring entrepreneur who’s documenting his journey to entrepreneurship.

Looking at the thumbnail and title of his videos, I assumed that I’d learn some good tips about entrepreneurship based on his experiences. I really thought that he had so much experience under his belt.

When I watched the videos, I became disappointed. Like I said earlier, his videos are more about his journey to becoming an entrepreneur. He hasn’t really done much yet except read a book written by an entrepreneur and becoming a member of an online sellers program.

I can see that he’s excited to start his journey into entrepreneurship, but I really can’t stand how I was kinda duped into believing that he’s an expert. It’s probably because he’s echoing the messages he learned from the book he read.

That book was written by MJ DeMarco. Oh wow, of all the authors, I came across this guy again. MJ DeMarco presents himself as a wealthy guy in his books, and it irks me. To me, he’s not wealthy; he’s just rich. It seems like everytime I read passages from DeMarco’s books, he’s always inflating his ego. I’m surprised that his ego hasn’t popped yet, LOL.

Going back to the guy in the videos, it seemed like he too was inflating his ego. Maybe he’s narcissistic?

I checked his Instagram page, and it’s filled with lots of bots. Yep, narcissistic indeed.

Readers, you may follow some fake experts online and probably admire some of them. Be on the watch for those people who are idolizing themselves. They’re very subtle when it comes to manipulating you.

Yes, fake experts can publish books to “embellish” their name. Yes, fake experts can be content creators on YouTube. They are utilizing whatever vocal platforms that will help them look like they’re outstanding.

If you haven’t read my blog post about “Illusion of Wealth vs. Real Wealth”, then I highly recommend that you check it out. I will say a couple of things here that I’ve touched on in that blog post I mentioned.

Successful people let their actions and work speak for themselves.

They don’t feel the need to broadcast their accomplishments because other people will advertise a good image for them, if their good image is legit.

They don’t brag because they’re busy listening, eager to learn new things because they know they must improve themselves and that they are far from being perfect.

If you’re really proud of your accomplishments, then you shouldn’t feel the need to seek validation from others, to tell others about your progress on things, and such.

So how can we become experts? How do we look for true experts?

Well, one business expert that comes to mind is Walt Disney. Yeah, of all people, you probably didn’t think of him as a business expert.

You’ve probably never heard of these quotes by him:

All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.
We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.
The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.
Amazing. Nowhere in those quotes does he put himself in the center of the spotlight because he and people around him know that he’s successful and he understands the keys to success (from those quotes I mentioned).
Maybe it’s just me, but I really admire successful people who don’t really try to embellish their name. They’re the ones that I see as truly successful.

The Hundred Million Reasons Challenge

In this post, I list down a hundred million reasons to walk away from someone, as well as one good reason to stay with someone.

I bow down to pray
I try to make the worst seem better
Lord, show me the way
To cut through all his worn out leather
I’ve got a hundred million reasons to walk away
But baby, I just need one good one to stay

In Lady Gaga’s latest album Joanne (2016), she sings a heartbreaking, country-pop ballad called “Million Reasons”.

In this post, I list down a hundred million reasons to walk away from someone, as well as one good reason to stay with someone.

Since it’s impossible for me to complete the list in one sitting, I hope to accomplish that by New Year’s Eve at the latest and keep everyone updated through social media.

Each page lists ten reasons.

Feel free to leave comments and suggestions for this blog post.

Main Chick VS Side Chick

Let’s compare the pros and cons of being the main chick and side chick…

Main Chick

Pros

  • She’s official. (That’s signified with a title and/or ring.)
  • She has benefits.
  • Her man most likely knows her more than the side chick.
  • She has to deal with her man’s problems.

Cons

  • She gets an emotional toll when she finds out her man secretly hangs out with side chicks.
  • She hardly knows her man’s problems and can’t help him.
  • She’s more likley to take the position of side chick.
  • Her man can easily cut ties with her if he can run to a “safety net”.

Side Chick

Pros

  • She’s her man’s entertainment and “safety net”.
  • She shares the same (if not more) benefits than the main chicks.
  • Her man most likely treats her better than the main chick.
  • She doesn’t have to deal with her man’s problems.

Cons

  • She gets an emotional toll when she finds out that her man secretly has a main chick.
  • She hardly knows her man’s problems and can’t help him.
  • She’s less likely to take the position of main chick.
  • Her man can easily cut ties with her because they had no official relationship.

So who won?

Well…

Hitler’s First and Unrequited Love Is A Jewish Girl

Yes, you read that right. She’s Jewish.

Hitler’s first and unrequited love is Stefanie Rabatsch – a Jewish girl who grew up in a family of high social status.

He was 16 when he first saw her and her mother stroll in Linz, Austria.

Since then, he fell so madly in love with her to the point where he wrote love poems and wanted to commit suicide.

Hitler never talked to her, and Rabatsch eventually married an army officer. She remained oblivious of Hitler’s feelings for her until she was interviewed about it after the war ended.
