Han Solo DIY Fridge

This has got to be one of the coolest shit Star Wars fans have ever made. (Please excuse my language.)

Han Solo DIY fridge

The fridge was created using a silicon mold of Han Solo found on eBay, red pulsating LED lights to make the body light up, and grey metallic paint to make the mold look like carbonite.

It really looks like the Han Solo encasing featured in Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi!

The designer of the fridge, Frank Ippolito, is a makeup effects artist and producer.

He’s known for his work on¬†Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest,¬†The Chronicles of Riddick, and¬†Casanova.

He said that you can find the encasing on online shopping sites such as eBay.

So I searched for the encasing and managed to find one on Etsy.

It’s really expensive! With shipping, it’s worth¬†¬£456.78 (590.09 USD).

I don’t know if Mr. Ippolito¬†bought an encasing online or if he made one himself.

I’d rather¬†buy a new, big stainless¬†fridge than an encasing to stick on my old fridge.

This¬†Kenmore 50023 Stainless Steel refrigerator¬†is slightly more expensive than the encasing above by 200 USD. I’d buy something like this instead.
