Apple’s upcoming iPhone model might undergo one of the biggest iPhone interface changes: getting a touch-surface home button.
If that change happens, it will remove a recurring problem for iPhone owners: an unusable home button.
While that seems like a good idea to some people, I wonder: Why not just remove the home button and the touch-free surfaces on the front of the device, and enlargen the touchscreen? Besides, Apple users have AssistiveTouch – a floating menu that includes the option to view the Home page. Plus, Apple users usually hold their devices by the edges instead of by the small touchless space below the screen and around the home button.
